Description
Compared to RBD coconut oil, raw coconut oil (CNO) has undergone less processing. Coconut meat (copra) is used to make raw coconut oil.
Raw coconut oil is typically used topically and is useful for lubrication and moisturizing. In addition, it is frequently used as a raw ingredient in the production of oleochemicals, personal care products—including soap and shampoo—and cosmetics.
RBD coconut oil has its own unique characteristics due to the high-pressure refining process. This coconut oil product typically has a clearer appearance, a mild flavor, and is odorless.
In addition to frying and cooking, RBD coconut oil can also be used as an ingredient in cosmetic formulations and various other products. RBD coconut oil is also commonly used in the food industry because of its neutral flavor and odorless aroma. RBD coconut oil is also preferred because it contains medium-chain triglyceride fatty acids, which are the same as those found in real coconuts.
